Disney uses own studio label for Bolt
Posted by ROM, 06/19/2008

The House of Mouse has chosen its own Disney Interactive Studios for its adaptation of the upcoming animated feature, Bolt. The movie features the voices of actors John Travolta and Miley Cyrus, and the game is expected to launch as a tie in for the feature’s November release on all major consoles.

Bolt the game will give players control over the title character, a superhero dog who gets sidetracked while traveling and has to globetrot through five different international locations on his way home. Players can also assume the control of Bolt’s owner, Penny. While Bolt will display the usual superhero skills such as laser vision and a superbark, Penny will give the player the stealth they need to accomplish sneakier missions.

Avalanche Software took control of the development of the console versions while Altron was given the responsibility of adapting the game for the unique features of the Nintendo DS, which will include cooperative and competitive play and as assortment of DS friendly minigames.
