The new adventure game for the Nintendo DS puts players in the position of young Ann Smith, who is headed to Maurania to see her father, the king, on his death bed. Mid-journey, her plane crashes near a rebel held city, and while Ann survives, she wakes up with amnesia in the palace of a prince.

The gameplay involves puzzles and midteasers as well as a coherent storyline and expressive principal characters. It promises to take full advantage of the DS’s stylus and microphone features.

Last King will be released near the end of 2008.
